David A. Edry, Head Coach
The head coach and 'on-hill program designer', David makes the training sessions tick. Having coached kids for 22 years, David's knowledge, experience and love for the sport of ski racing and it's athletes has been a big factor in the success of the camps. David has coached J1-2 athletes to U.S. Nationals and J3 athletes to Topolino Games and Whistler Cup. His high energy and the strange ability to 'act like a kid' 24 hours a day are what keeps everyone smiling. He is an experienced rock climber, bike racer, runner and golfer. Coach Pat McNamara
Patrick has over 20 years of coaching experience and is presently coaching the J4 athletes at the Stratton Training Center at Stratton Mountain, VT. A father of three active boys, coaching sports other than skiing keeps him busy throughout the off season. A former Collegiate National Champion and 'Ski Racings Master Racer of the Year', he still has the skills and is often found training slalom in his off time. When not coaching Patrick is a general contractor specializing in new construction and remodeling, and he rides the bike a ton!
Coach Matt Stanton
Matt had added a great deal to the camp staff. His insightful, thoughtful and gentle way with the kids creates an amazing coach/athlete bond. He’s excited everyday about the sport of ski racing and loves to be out in the sun skiing with the kids. Matt was the Waterville Valley BBTS J4 Team Coach (2005, 2006, 2007) and residence Director at Waterville Valley Academy (2006-2007). He also worked with the FIS Development group during his time at Waterville. Most recently, he was a full time Men's and Women's FIS coach at Team Summit, Copper, Colorado (2008-2009).
Coach Josh Bedard
Josh is new to the U.S. Elite Camps staff in 2010. He started coaching at Gunstock Ski club in New Hampshire and has recently made the move to his former program, Stratton Mountain School. Josh is a Plymouth State University alumni and is very excited to be a part of the summers at Mt Hood.
